Office Overview

The Social and Cultural Life of Students Office is a space dedicated to enhancing the student experience within and beyond the Federation through programs and initiatives that bring together culture, creativity, social interaction, and student participation. The Office develops and implements both in-person and digital activities that allow students to express their ideas and talents, connect with others, and take part in diverse experiences beyond the academic aspect. It also provides students with opportunities to contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs, and to turn ideas and suggestions into practical initiatives.

To provide diverse cultural and social programs and initiatives, both in-person and digital, that enhance student participation and provide spaces for interaction, creativity, and initiative.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

5Creating registration forms and surveys.
6Communicating with participants and guests.
7Coordinating and managing online meetings.
8Organizing exhibitions, booths, and in-person activities.

10Participating in activity management during implementation.
11Documenting activities and preparing reports.
12Providing suggestions for improving future programs.

Programs & Activities

Activity 1

Cultural and discussion sessions, activities related to Sudanese heritage, and cultural competitions.

Activity 2

Networking and student gatherings, interactive activities that build connections, and joint programs between students from different universities.

Activity 3

Showcasing students' talents, writing, drawing, and photography competitions, and spaces for displaying students' work.

Activity 4

Online meetings and sessions, online competitions, audio programs and digital discussions, and interactive student content.

Activity 5

Exhibitions and interactive booths, activities accompanying events, games and competitions, and social and recreational activities.

Activity 6

Collaborating with other offices to implement programs combining multiple fields, embedding cultural and social life across Federation activities.

Workflow & Operational Procedures

1.Understanding their interests, ideas, talents, and what they would like to see within the Federation.

2.Turning an idea from a simple suggestion into a clear activity or program with a specific objective, target audience, and implementation method.

3.Preparing the work plan, setting tasks and timelines, and coordinating roles among team members.

4.Implementing programs and activities whether they are conducted in person, online, or through a combination of both.

5.Managing activities conducted through online platforms, such as meetings, competitions, discussions, surveys, and interactive challenges.

6.Communicating with students, guests, speakers, and different offices and committees according to the nature of each program.

7.Following up on tasks and ensuring that they are completed on time, while dealing with any changes or challenges that may arise.

It means being part of shaping the student experience, rather than simply being someone who attends activities. You will be part of the team that listens to an idea, considers its feasibility, develops it, plans it, and then chooses the most suitable way to present it to students—whether it is an online meeting, a digital competition, a discussion session, a social initiative, an exhibition, or an interactive activity. You will handle different tasks, work with different people, and face situations that require thinking and problem-solving. With every experience, you will learn something new about planning, communication, organization, teamwork, and taking responsibility.
